Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race. There are Hispanic people whose ancestors came from Europe (or even they come from Europe!). There are Hispanic people whose ancestors came from the Americas. There are Hispanic people whose ancestors came from Africa. There are Hispanic people whose ancestors came from Asia. There are Hispanic people whose ancestors came from all over.

I was one of fewer than 5 AA at my high school. My younger child is in an even less diverse setting. Trust me, the white kids will be just fine as minorities if their parents don't freak out.
