When you say mortgage, do you mean the original amount of the loan (which is what the monthly payment would be based on) or the amount you actually owe?

Yes, I have a 2.5% interest rate. It's variable rate (5/5 arm) so in 5 years it could go up to 4.5. I probably won't live in the house more than 7-8 years so that is why I went with a variable rate ARM

Yeah, I'd love to know how the PPs is so low. Yours sounds right to me - 3700 is incredibly low for that loan amount.

100k and 8 years to go.PITI and utilities are $1600 a month. After that, I'll be living in 20007 for just $400 a month.
It's not a house of course, but we have a farm too in case we want to leave DC.
