I'm sorry OP, Henry is not a nickname for Harrison. Name him Harrison Henry [Lastname] then calling him Henry isn't as huge of a leap.

Ummmm- how about grandparents can call him Henry but you and everybody else calls him Harrison. If you actually want to call him Henry but have his first name be Harrison then just introduce him as Henry.

Betty for Elizabeth
Maggie for Margaret
Harry for Henry
Jim for James

In the days of 'ol, it was normal to have nicknames that weren't just shortened versions of the real name.

We have a Harrison, now five. We considered Harris as a nickname and I like it but everyone has always called him Harrison. His three year old preschool classmates had no problem with it.

That said, if you want his nickname to be Henry, go for it.
