Yeah, but Savannah's and the Chinese restaurant have served liquor for years. I didn't know the laws had changed for other restaurants in old Kensington.

Really OP? Complaining here about a half an ounce of wine, maybe an ounce? The place hasn't even been open two weeks - cut them some slack. Maybe you should go get yourself a nice big box of wine, stick a straw in it, stay home and order Domino's.

Used to be 6. Lately I've seen 5, and it they have a "happy hour", you get the 4.

Some serious hate on this thread for a pretty run-of-the-mill, widely shared opinion. Bashers, you should stop before you do any more damage to this establishment. You aren't doing the owner any favors calling the OP a "bitch" and accusing her of being a lush and so forth.

OP if it bothers you so much go to one of the other fine dining establishments in Kensington, like the gas station. FFS it's a pizza joint and you think there should be a sommelier pouring you a bucket of wine? enjoy it while it lasts because chances are they won't survive with clientele like you.

We ate at a nice but not formal restaurant on Cap. Hill. DH orders his usual Scotch "neat". When we get a bill there was a several dollar surcharge for the "neat" (no ice). We asked about it just out of curiosity. The waiter said that since there is no ice, they have to put in more Scotch, so they added a surcharge. We laughed hilariously and I wrote Tom Sietsana because we've traveled the world and never heard of such a thing. The restaurant no longer does it. But if we hadn't checked the bill, we would have never known.

I think the OP is a bitch but I think her comment about Kensington meant that restaurant patrons there are familiar with how wine should or shouldn't be poured, i.e. a generally restaurant-savvy clientele.
