Gone low carb, but I like Blue Moon once in a blue moon.

Shandies are under-appreciated and so are snakebites - half lager/ half cider / all tasty.

New Glarus Spotted Cow

New Glarus Totally Naked - both you can only find in Wisconsin

I think a shandy is underrated in this country. Sam Adams has a nice "porch rocker" and Harpoon has grapefruit one too I think.

Right now my summer beer is Dogfish head's witbier, Namaste (I used to like their Shelter Pale Ale but they don't bottle it anymore).

I'm not a big beer drinker (I know, what am I doing on this thread?!) but just had Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, which tastes like lemonade. Very refreshing! I don't like hard lemonades (Mike's, etc.) but really liked the summer shandy.

Anonymous wrote:I had something amazing the other day called Hoptical Illusion (I think the brewery was called Bluepoint?). It was IPA-ish but lighter with a very light, not-fruity citrus touch. Most refreshing thing I've had all summer.
It's on draft at Circa.

That is bluepoint! Maybe I'll try it, although I'm not a big fan of IPA.

You'd like it. It's not one of those big hop monsters. It's very light and refreshing.
I had another "light IPA" today -- Whiter Shade of Pale, by Starr Hill. Same vibe, also wonderful.

Right now it's Red's Rye IPA Founders Brewing Co. Just a great summer beer.
