DH and I have used pull out method as our only means of BC for 4 years and only got pregnant when we wanted to. We didn't get pregnant immediately and none of the pregnancies have stuck so far so maybe we aren't super fertile as a couple so this method works for us.

I track my cycles via Fertility Friend and we use "Pull and Pray" on fertile days, but then we're not opposed to another kid. It's worked for us for many years, and I have lots of friends who use this method too. No babies that I know of. I do, however, know of several unplanned babies that were the result of condom failure (my nephew and god son being two of them). We'll take our chances!

Got pregnant in college due to the *pull-out* method.

Well that is just the old rhythm method. Lots of babies were born that way too.

OP if you really don't care don't worry about it BUT if you don't want or can't afford another baby, close up shop till DH puts on a condom or gets a vasectomy.
Vasectomies lead to some fantastic spontaneous sex. It is so much better when you don't have to worry about getting pregnant. Everyone can relax including DH. The stress of having to remember to pull out at a time when he is feeling so good can't be fun. If you are truly done with kids he needs to man up and get snipped.

I don't have advice to add. But I just have to say this has always sounded so unsatisfying. I would rather just not have intercourse than to think so much during the act.

There is sperm in the man's "pre-come." Also, there are many accidents using the pull-and-pray method. I know two couples who have gotten pregnant this way.

I was just joking around with a friend that teaches sex ed abut some of the crazy things high school kids believe and she has to set them straight on. The pull out "method" was the FIRST thing she named. I am shocked there are adults who think this is actually a reliable form of birth control!
