This. Saw twentysomethings wearing them. Not "old lady" at all. I have 2 pair and wear them all the time. They're comfortable. I think of them as basic sandals.

Plus another. The kitten heel makes them so much worse than the flats.
pp back. I still like them. I would have preferred the flats but I have flat feet so flat sandals offer no support and it becomes painful to walk after about 10 minutes or so. Because of this I try to get small kitten heels on my sandals as opposed to wearing full out heels.

I wear them all summer long. I'm 29 and from the south. They are only uncomfortable until you break the leather in a little. Of course it is very stiff when they're brand new but it will soften and mold to your foot shape.

Agree that they're a little bit too ten years ago. Even then, they weren't really attractive but you could get away with them. Now, only if you're under 12 or over 50 or don't give a damn.

My first thought was that maybe someone locally made them because they weren't all that attractive, yet only people in this very small population were wearing them. I caught the name of the shoes once and looked them up.
Having lived many places, but really only noticing them here in large amounts, and since in smaller amounts in the south. I would classify them as Southern prep -- particularly based on who is wearing them. The ladies that I know who wear them here are predominately from the south. There are a few who aren't and wear them. I feel that those ladies are trying to fit in a bit with the Southern prep crowd.
