Exactly, the irony is comical.

My office is mostly men who wear suits so they keep it at below 65. I'm 36, fat, not in a lower position and still freeze my ass off. But what really pisses me off is that higher management has thermostats in their offices and they can make if colder if they needed to. But hell no. We all have to freeze.

I think it's the menopausal women in my office that push for the freezing temps. Men here walk around complaining too.

I'm pushing for telework just to escape this freezing office.

Funny that this thread popped up!! I'm in my LEED green building with my space heater!

I just can't wear pants in the summer. It's WAY too hot to walk to work in pants. But I do wear sweaters daily and closed toed shoes. I'm so sick of freezing...

Um, if it is eighty or ninety degree outside, then they are dressed reasonably for the environment. The men wearing pants and long sleeved and sometimes even ties and jackets are the ones not dressed reasonably.

If it is illegal, please post documentation. My question is, can it be considered workplace harrassment?

We aren't allowed to have space heaters, but man, I wish I could. Our building is *freezing.* I walk two miles every day during my commute while pushing a stroller, so I need to dress appropriately for 90+ degree weather. Then, I need to put a blanket on my legs and a sweater and sometimes fingerless gloves so I can work. It's ridiculous. Don't run the A/C so cold, and stop assuming that the average office worker is a man wearing a wool-blend suit.

I am not able to use a space heater. I'm jealous of you all that can.

I'm the only one freezing in my dept of men...and freezing environ. They make fun of me for being cold and wearing a sweatshirt year round and a blanket. I can't wear fun summer clothes, because I would freeze. Yet, going outside for lunch in heavy winter clothes is not an option.

UGH.

Man I want a space heater. I'm sick of freezing. Men shouldn't be allowed to wear suit jackets in the summer.
