I must say, you may not be a new agent but you do sound like a new poster since you are being so nice. I tried it too. Countering the negativity with professionalism and sound advice. But Mr. FSBO and Mr. Redfin (who are probably one and the same) who keep insulting, insulting, insulting agents . . . well, you are better than I am!
I have never seen an ethics complaint go through in DC unless it was severely egregious - no one is going to get slapped on the wrist for being a b*@#! (and as many of these people think - OR MORE LIKELY MR. FSBO/REDFIN - WE ARE)!
As you stated in one of your previous posts, it makes me sad to see what people say too, but again, I think it's just the bitter guy in AU Park who is mocking his neighbors for supposedly "over-paying" for a very nice house. I hope they don't invite him to their house-warming party!
Finally, to the OP, call the agent's manager and tell the manager how rudely you were treated! You have never come back to state what happened but I would love to hear it. I cannot stand agents that treat people poorly and give the rest of us a bad reputation. AT LEAST turn him/her into their own firm!!!

You must be a new agent as well as a new poster. Ethic complaints have absolutely no effect. You will waste countless hours assembling material for egregious actions and nothing will happen to the other agent. It is one of those sounds good items that has no teeth
Incorrect on both assumptions. I'm newly posting under this moniker but I've been posting on this board for five years now. I'm also a seasoned agent and I've sat on my Real Estate Board before. We took ethics complaints very seriously and yes, they had teeth.
