I've never heard my parents or older sibling (we're both late 30's) use it, though my parents are what I think of as unintentionally racist. As in my father will tell us about getting in a minor fender-bender in downtown Miami and then add "But I didn't get out of the car to exchange information - the guy probably had a gun. Hey, it's Miami - it's all gangs there!" and he'd think that's funny and then not truly understand if I tried to explain why it's offensive.
