Kids from the DMV have been known to be shocked by the friendly, color/race/religion blind attitude they find in Madison.

Just some new stats from UW for fall freshman 2014 class. 30,463 applications total. 7,981 WI residents applied. 22,482 applications were from OOS and international students from all 50 states and 106 countries. If you go to UW you will meet people from all over.
