A baby is not growing in your BELLY or your stomach or whatever cutesy word you use...why not say womb or uterus?
I'm with you on stomach/tummy, but belly actually refers to the abdomen more generally, and (at least until someone develops a uterine replicator) I think it's fair to say a baby grows there.

Wish I could kiss you! I'm adopted (gay dad, straight mom) and this is how I've been feeling reading all these silly posts. GS is normal. What's to explain? Tell the the truth and keep truckin'. If you don't sweat it, they won't.

Every adopted kid comes up to me on day one, tells me their special adoption story and lets me know how they are much more "special" than every other kid in the class. Boy are they let down when they find out they are just like everyone else, and that everyones else's mom loves them just as much or more. Big shocker.

totally agree that I hope my children never run into this teacher & that all kids are special and should be made to feel that way.... but there is a weirdness to the books on gestational surrogacy that stress that the kids are MORE special than all the other special darling children of the world - vs. that is it normal special.... if that makes sense.
