OP here. I don't want a divorce. The hassle and time is just not worth it. On the other hand, an affair has it's own complications and socially could be terrible if it ever came out. I also agree, this divorcee has nothing to lose.

OP, it sounds like you just love yourself and only appreciate how hard working you are. Why stop at an affair? Just indulge in everything that will give you a quick fix or high. Just start binge drinking, doing drugs, flying off to Vegas for a guys weekend, hooking up with every woman who looks your way. Having an affair will end your marriage if your wife finds out. If you want to end it, just end it. If you want to stay then push for working it out. Suggest marriage counseling, tell your wife the truth about how you are feeling and your desire. If she loves you, and wants to stay married, she'll do what it takes.

You must be honest with her, and accept her honesty if she complies and starts sharing her feelings. In a lot of marriages we only think about our stress, everything we are doing she may have similar feelings to yours.

As much as being honest may sting, you've done nothing wrong, yet. Even if your marriage can't be saved you tried without sacrificing your vows and morals. Good luck.

If you don' t want to divorce your wife for whatever reason then just have the affair. No man should have to put up with what you are going through.

Lots of men have affairs and many do so without the justifications that you have. Go for it but be aware there is every likelihood that it will come out at some point.
