My brother who did his internship at Beth Israel saw the beginnings of the AIDS crisis. So fucking sad.

Worked there from 82-85, wonder if I knew your brother. The AIDS crisis was horrible and so sad. It also didn't have to be as bad but the politician didn't care about the gays and drug addicts. We lost so many talented and wonderful young men. I think of some of them often and wonder what they would have accomplished if they had lived.
