I have a very very big problem with people brainwashing children - no matter what about. You should never tell children your beliefs as facts. Even if they are facts to you. I believe in God and so does my husband. Still we would never tell our children about God as given fact. We would tell them that God is someone we believe in as watching over us and offering us somewhere to turn to when we are in need. At the same time I want our children to make up their own mind and find their own beliefs. My 3yo hasn't asked yet but I've been thinking about it. I'm planning on taking a "God means different things to different people" describing as a something that is personal. I have religious family members but am myself an atheist and so I want to make sure we teach him to be respetful and eventually set him up to be able to answer the question for himself when he is older.
