Except you can't compare your skin to those of people in the tropics. They are used to that sun all year long, your skin is not. Perhaps your ancestors are from there, but that does not mean your skin is the same as them. An SPF of 10 does nothing. It isn't just one website, it is multiple plus MANY dermatologists. DH is AA and his dad has had several pre-cancerous moles removed. DH's derm said he should be wearing at least a 15 on a daily basis and higher when he's going to be on the beach. I trust his derm/several reputable websites over yours. I'm sorry you can't think beyond what a website is telling you.

He is a marketers dream. Doesn't sound too bright so just spouts off whatever someone tells him (in this case the site about toxins, oil, butter, etc) and is adamant that that OF COURSE is correct and when people ask follow up questions, he just lists things from the website again. When people are incapable of thinking for themselves, they become a marketers dream because they are so gullible and easily manipulated.

People have used oils for YEARS to get more tan (ask any older white person and they will probably say they slathered their bodied with oil in their teens and early 20s to reach that golden teen so coveted back then). And again, and SPF of 10 does NOTHING for your skin. Yes, people in the tropics use it, but their skin is also used to the harsh sun all year long. Yours is not so it needs a higher protection.

But I know, I'm saying something that your website isn't telling you, so of course it can't be true.

I'd really love to know your education level and what you do for work. You come across as so incredibly unintelligent, annoying, and with the attitude that you think you are better than everyone else.

If I really really was asking that question for personal sick reasons.wouldn't I go in the explicit section? AA woman here. You need to read labels. You need to know what is in your product. With that said, OP, I get that you don't want something that leaves a white residue but understand that those that leave a white residue tend to be the best ones to use. It will not sink into your skin but instead, sit on top of your skin and create a barrier. All natural sunscreen brands work best for my African American, acne prone skin. I recommend blue lizard sensitive. Coconut oil is a great all natural moisturizer but pleasure do not use it as a sunscreen. [/quote]

Coppertone Sport used to make the most awesome sunscreen, which went on clear instead of the white stuff, and did not come off. For some reason they stopped making it, maybe because it didn't come off in the shower eitiher.

But it was awesome and I miss it.
