I think I look my age. I have stayed out of the sun, so I don't have much skin damage and I know how to dress myself and can afford to do so, so I think I look nice. But I am not kidding myself that anyone would ever think I was in my 20s.

Ladies, go hang around with people who are really in their 20s or very early 30s. You will be shocked. Because they look a lot younger than you. I think if the compliment is coming from a fellow old-ster, take it with a huge grain of salt. Everyone is telling each other what they would like to hear themselves and many of us probably don't see all that many 20-somethings on a day-to-day basis. (That depends on your job of course, if you work.)

I think it also depends on how you keep yourself in shape. I was talking to another mother (of teenagers) when I was there with my 4 year old. She commented that "she was a young mother, too". I was 40, and would guess she was about the same age. It certainly helped that I was wearing HUGE sunglasses and was the thinnest I've been in my adult post-baby life, too (the last time I've worn a bikini, too). I think now I can pass for 40 (I'm 44)- not a huge stretch, and not delusional I hope!

Hmm, lots of Asian and AA friends. While they are aging well, by no means do they look 10 or 20 years younger than their actual age.

Hmm...I don't know. Many Asians and African American women look way younger than their actual age. Not just "good for their age" but actually much younger.

Me too. I'm turning 40 this year with a 3 yo, and am currently 6 months pregnant. People usually think I'm in my late 20's/early 30's. I've always looked a lot younger though, it's nothing new. I hated it when I was a teen/early 20's, but it rocks now!

Depends on who you ask, of course. I think all 20-year-olds look like high-schoolers. To a 60-year-old, you look great! To the 20-year-olds, you look like a hag, no matter how much botox you've had.
