The school can't officially announce yet b/c it has to clear a few more federal bureaucratic hoops, but aside from that the lease has been signed and it's a done deal. The new location will actually be an easier commute for most families. For our family it will be harder but we LOVE the new location and would never leave.

However I am sure the list will move. We got in last year the week before school started, after I'd given up. It's hard to be patient!

Excellent point. Furthermore, it's easy to say you're committed, but after a week of trying to cross 14th anywhere near Park or Irving during rush hour? There will be families who will back out for the quality-of-life issue.

As of last week Monday, the wait list had moved 6 spots for PS3. Not sure what it is now, hopefully it's progressed a bit farther -- if anyone has heard anything, please let us know!

I think they have moved around 5 spots, based on what I heard from the school when I asked this week. Hard to tell with siblings in the mix, though.

I would say the waitlist will likely move because CM did not do the common lottery. So, they are still contributing to the old, chaotic charter lottery system where people can accept at another school, and then take their time deciding where they want to send their kid this summer. Especially with a significant location change, my guess is that it will move a bit.

We are concerned about the 2nd grade teachers at our IB school. Our good news is we were offered a spot today.

Congrats PP, so the waitlist is moving! And how incredibly lucky that you got a good enough waitlist number to be offered a spot this early in "waitlist season" 2 yrs in a row???!!! That's rather extraordinary luck, isn't it?

Last year we didn't get contacted until school started. There isn't as high of demand at upper grades. But thanks, it's a good day
