GDS is not the only school we visited last fall that did not have a cafeteria for the LS. To me, with memories of my own experiences eating in school cafeterias growing up, it was a non-issue. Yes, we were suitably impressed with the wait staff setting the tables at Sidwell during our tour there, but it would not have been a factor in our decision had our daughter been accepted there (she was not). As for the campus, a campus' physical beauty is nice, but superficial. I would guess there are few campuses more beautiful than Bullis' campus, but would you really choose Bullis over GDS?

what are your top choice of school?
Anonymous wrote:Yes it is true. Just check out some of the other "progressive" schools in the area for the lower grades....GDS is not on board with modern progressive education. They think they but as an educator who did her thesis on the subject - trust me - they are doing their own thing. Not a bad thing but would not be my first choice for our kids.
