Actually it isn't off point at all. Are you suggesting that a "gifted" child (who is shown to be gifted by a WISC) belongs in the program more than a child who got in on appeal when both are getting good grades? Of course the committee lets in non gifted kids, as it is no longer "GT" but AAP.
