Not spam. I am working with them and they are really fantastic. I don't have much to compare them to, but they work really hard and are a real pleasure to work with. We have been happy so far. They know the neighborhoods.

What about the neighborhoods south of Old Town, just west of Telegraph Rd.? Some very pretty streets, and a very good elementary school on Franconia Road, and it's an easy 10 minute drive to Old Town. We don't live there, but our friend who do moved there for the reasons you are asking about. Nice big parks around there, too.

A couple in Woodson district in Annandale:
This one has been on the market for quite a while in Canterbury Woods - I see a bunch of improvements you could make, including expanding the kitchen.

Agree with Burke and West Springfield, Fairfax Station, or maybe something feeding into Woodson if you can find it. I live in Arlington due to my job in DC, but when I visit friends who live in those areas, I'm impressed at how much more house/land you can get for the money. My friends with kids at Robinson and South Lakes and their feeder elementaries are happy with the schools.

22152 is great, especially in the Cardinal Forest neighborhood. It is hard to get in, though, because the desirability due to walkability (Lake Accotink, pools, grocery stores, drugstores, restaurants, etc.) is high. They tend to go fast when they hit the market, though it is rare to see them on the market.

22182 part of Vienna (near Navy FCU) that feeds into Stenwood Elementary. Zoned for Marshall HS, but if you have an elem age kid, I would not speculate on HS at this stage of the game in that part of the County.

Depends where you are commuting to, right?

Look at a map of Fairfax County. Start on the southern and western edges next to Prince William and Loudoun and work your way closer in. There are lots of nice, affordable neighborhoods with great schools in southern/western FFX.
