+1. My husband has no idea who is on the emergency card. BTW, I have 3 kids, my oldest is 13, and I have never used the emergency contact at school, camps, daycare, etc. It really doesn't matter who is listed. If your husband calls or sends in a note, the teachers will let your MIL pick up your child. If you truly don't want her driving your child, that is a decision to make with your husband, not the the school.
