You could try a probiotic supplement targeted at vaginal health, along with sitting in a tub with a cup of apple cider vinegar to encourage a healthy ph. That usually gets rid of the awful odor for at least a day or two, and might clear up a mild floral imbalance.
Personally, none of the home remedies worked for me and I ended up with PID because I didn't just take my ass to the doctor in the first place. That is months of recurring odor and discharge and a $4,000 hospital bill that could have been avoided with one course of antibiotics -- all because I read online that antibiotics would worsen the problem and I'd have BV forever.

Next time I will go to the doctor immediately.
