Somehow the public Montessori school has to figure out a way to meet DCPS standards and teach enough test-taking skills to show results on the DC CAS. Not easy. I think LAMB has figured out a pretty good model, plus Spanish immersion to boot.
Lee will be pure montessori AMI just like Shining Stars. DC is in Private montessori and they DO test because testing and filling in bubbles is a life skill. So not accurate to say that pure Montessori cannot involve testing students and that privates don't test. Clearly you know nothing about Montessori. The LAMB parents I have met know nothing about Montessori which surprised me--some of these parents were at the DC school fair in January. So I would not be surprised if people pick it for immersion and good test scores.
