for physical movement:

chinese jumprope (or whatever the politically correct name is now)
book with hand clapping gales like Miss Mary Mack and have a parent come in and teach the girls some of the hand games (yeah, I know, boys can like it too.... but they don't)

For sitting down games:

Junior Pictionary
Rush Hour or Rufh Hour Junior (but kids can't lose the pieces)
Bop It (but the noise may be too much)
Chess (with extra pieces) but you have to teach the kids how to play
