Your post amounted to you saying "I know something and I'm not going to tell"-and your reason for not telling on an ANONYMOUS forum is nonsensical.
1) I read a lot of threads about schools that have interesting "dynamics" or conversations surrounding them.
2) Because I saw no reason to be coy. A lot of people wouldn't call just because they "may" have reached a decision. And obviously, from 2 other posts in this thread, I'm not the only one who heard this, since there are other "definitive" answers to questions. Whatever hon, that's all the explanation worth giving to you. I leave this thread clear that someone will call and if the school is announcing it, someone (or many someones) will be glad to have been motivated to get the info *very* soon. If it's not you who's happy about knowing... that's ok, I'm pretty sure I'll still sleep ok.
If you are a representation of the school parents, I'd pull my application.
Well, I did say a FRIEND told me, so yes, consider me a representation. Seriously, pull your app!

It reminds me of my med school friends who all had to gather in a room for their public residency "match" day. Intense.
Seriously?
You sound like a really bitter and sad person. They had something like a 1,000 applications for maybe 20 spots and you hope there is an article about the pain and suffering of these parents.
Wow.
If you can't have any humor about this entire insane school application process, then there is no hope for any of us.
It is insane. It should be documented. People should know about how stressful it is for everyone involved. It should be reported on. This is important.
I have participated in lotteries in the past pulling names for the lottery. There has been news coverage. I was there when a child was present who had their name drawn 1st! The child and family was told - congratulations you are 1st on the waitlist. If anyone does not come back you have the spot. The child did not get a spot that year, or the next. I know b/c the child was there with his father again at the lottery the following year.
I was there when a 4YO waited around to hear her name called - congratulations you are # 288 on the waitlist.
Please do not do this to yourself or your children. It is depressing. If you luck out you will find out soon enough.

Pretty annoying post. If you know and it is not a secret then just post the information. If you know and it is a secret then why mention it at all? I hated kids who did stuff like this when I was growing up: "I know something you don't know but I can't tell you"
