So, my DC got 16 GBRS, 149 NNAT and 98 on CogAt. Can we pretty much assume DC will get in or can other factors (work samples maybe) play into a possible rejection.
Anonymous wrote:Very few kids achieve a 16 on the GBRS-during my son's year 2 years ago, we were told only 1 child had gotten a 16 (out of about 50 kids ultimately in AAP). You would think from reading this board that it is a common occurrence, and it shouldn't be!

The commentaries were strong and detailed though it definitely focused more on the verbal and critical thinking rather than the quantitative. The teacher herself brought up that our son was clearly cut out for AAP and offered to refer if he didn't make the cut off - a statement that apparently is very strong (and she said she hardly ever offered this). I guess was hoping the GBRS would be a 15 or 16 to help more. This is my eldest child- just hopefully asking AAP who have BTDT.
14 is an excellent GBRS.
A 14 with thoughtful comments and good work samples is just about as good as 16.
If the parent comments are as well-written, this is great.

This is what I thought would happen if I asked my kid's teacher or the part time AART.
Not sure how parents are getting GBRS score from teacher/AART.
