If anyone her has any non-dansko suggestions that would fit that bill, I would be all ears.

Yes, exactly. I need something with more support than that.
People run marathons in Vibrams, but you can't wear a pair of ballet slippers to work?
How flat are your feet?

Anonymous wrote:I bought these last May (with my March Madness winnings!) and they are so comfortable and have held up beautifully... the only people to really compliment me on them are ladies in their 70s but I'm going to let that get to me, I walk miles a day and have a bad back and these shoes are the best.

Are you all really DCUMs? I have never seen anyone with shoes like these in NWDC.
Are you kidding? I live in CCDC, have been on DCUM since 2003, and Danskos are all over the place in my general area.
I'm 48 and I guess I'll agree with a few of the PPs who assert that Dansko = "given up." In my case, I have indeed "given up" caring whether I dress in a way that makes men want to bang me at first sight. And let's be honest, that's what PPs who sneer that a woman has 'given up' actually mean when they say "she's given up" (because she wears clogs.). self-respect =/= hot 'n sexy.
It's Ok to age with grace and acceptance. I promise.
