Many has mentioned the amount of kids to TJ , the number who are not interested in TJ, and percentage of asian kids, but I think it is important to know the percentage who are accepted among all applied and the total number of student in that MS. Carson does have higher percentage being accepted. Not sure why people have to mention about how many asian kids in those schools.

I don't know about it being a center, but it already has an outstanding local level 4 program. It's a small program, but it is strong.

Not aware of any imminent plans, but it seems inevitable when Carson is so big, other nearby schools have capacity, and FCPS has taken specific steps to reduce the size of the AAP programs at Longfellow and Rocky Run by making Cooper and Lanier AAP centers. I don’t know how they’d justify not taking similar action at Carson, especially when over 50% of the kids at Carson are now in AAP.
