My DD who is in college told me she saw it and the only thing she could say was - GROSS, I HOPE I NEVER TURN 40...

I on the other hand thought is was spot on and hilarious. Did not enjoy We're the Millers at all. if Leslie Mann had been the lead it would have been better.

Yes. You must be very young.

YIKES!! I thought everyone knew who TP was - at least those old enough to be interested in posting anything on DCUM.

I don't care what age you are, you should have heard of Tom Petty. He isn't some obscure indie musician. From Wikipedia: "Throughout his career, Petty has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. In 2002, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

I watched with my husband and a friend and her husband and my friend's husband was the only person that had ever heard of him.

What??? I am 35 and not remotely "into" music, and I'm seriously astounded that 31 yr olds don't know who Tom Petty is.

I don't have an issue with her face. I just don't think she's a good actress. She pretty much plays the same character in every movie, and I find that character annoying.

PP here, ah yes I totally agree that she's just not a good actress and she plays the same character over and over again and I never find her funny.

but her boobs are really nice

Then you're not close to 40!

Nope, I'm 31.

I am 31 and I loved Tom Petty as a kid. But I have always been into music.

I loved the movie, but it did hit too close to home on some things.

I loved it! Except I am Paul Rudd's character, singing the Pixies as I drive my kids to school and cramming cupcakes into my mouth.
