My husband is an engineer and it would depend on his mood. If he was annoyed at work, he would respond like the OP's husband. He'll save the photo and whip it out a couple days later when I'm not in the mood. But for the most part, he would be thrilled since I tend to be a prude.

I think this is it. He was being funny, and it wasn't very funny.

Unfortunately, I think the sexy pics work much if you're the girlfriend and not the wife

Turns out my gut feeling was right. He said something lame tonight like, I already know what you look like.

Ever thought that maybe... Maybe... He doesn't find you attractive and don't want to see pictures of you trying to be sexy or semi naked?

Software engineer here. Your husbands suck! I would have played it up with some role play... or by telling you how hard I am at work thinking of what I want to do to you... or by telling you what pose to do next for me...

Oh man OP. I'm sorry. How about this response: I know you know what I look like but I really want you to fuck me like we just met. Then when that's over you can have a serious conversation about wanting more intimacy. Good luck!

Awkwardness to me is a sign that they are nervous about how their wife will respond back. Men who walk on eggshells are often awkward, worrying that no matter how they respond it will be the wrong response. Some also have wives who rarely make sexual advances and so aren't sure how to read that.

If Op and her husband have a happy, healthy marriage and sex life then I would actually see his response as a funny one, not an awkward one.

Why do men think this is sexy? Penis closeup photos are for most women strongly associated with sexual harassment. Take a well-composed full body shot and you'll have better luck.

Golden rule? If my wife sent me a photo of her genitalia, I'd find it sexy. Do unto others . . .

But, seriously, I don't think for a second my wife would think a penis picture is sexy. What is a "well-composed" fully body shot as compared to a regular picture of my full body. And are we talking clothed, unclothed, partially clothed?

In any case, I'm not a bad looking dude, but I don't think my wife would find any picture of me texted to her particularly arousing.
for me, admitting you might see in a firemen calendar would do it.

Is there a difference between:

Fantasy sexy vs. real-life sexy?
Can those overlap?

I believe that was a sarcastic idea, dear.

That was my thought. Hopefully he will show his appreciation when you get home.

I'm married to someone in the science field also. Could it be that he was just busy at work? Mine is not very friendly when he feels interrupted at work / in the middle of a difficult project. I've learned to completely leave him alone if he is doing anything work-related.

Love the engineer comment. So true.
