Triple paste. I use it at any sign of pink.

+1. Only thing that works when it’s bad. We use A&D cream daily which helps prevent.

Make sure you wash butt with warm water 3x a day. Once the rash is gone, make it a habit to wash with water at least once a day.

Baby powder is not out of vogue, it's dangerous for infants to inhale.

So you pat it into your hand away from baby then go pat on the tush gently. Nobody is saying shake the bottle in their face.

Baby powder is a big NO it can cause a yeast infection or make a yeast infection worse. Yeast thrive in powder

Change diaper, pat dry, allow some naked time on a towel. Apply diaper cream and put a clean diaper on.

It's dangerous for inhalation and also for later-in-life ovarian cancer. Our ped. said no baby powder. We used desitin.

I think the cancer risk is only for the talc kind of powder, so cornstarch baby powder would be ok, but def not talcum

1) Desitin (the purple one) - put it on every diaper change for 2 days
2) If that doesn't work or it gets worse, it's probably a fungal rash - then try Lotrimin AF (for Athlete's foot)
3) If neither work, we switched to good old baby powder and DD never got a rash anymore. I know talc is dangerous to inhale, but not cornstarch - buy the cornstarch kind.

Agree with the naked ass poster! Bare butt is best.

Otherwise Triple Paste or coconut oil.

Coconut oil. It's super effective and cloth diaper safe.

If you've got a yeast rash, just use monistat. And switch to disposable if you use cloth & disinfect your cloth in the meantime.

I agree. In the case of really bad rash our doctor recommended clotrimazole. Clears it up really fast.
