Love the Veronicas and and the Annas. Don't own either, but might buy one. Styling question ... I wear straight jeans, but not skinnies. (Have too big a bum and thick-ish thighs.) If I wear short boots with straight jeans, do I tuck the jeans into the boots? Roll the jeans up to the top of the boots? Ugh, as I'm typing this, I think I know the answer. No short boots, right?

Fryes are very comfortable but need to be broken in first. Buy them now and wear them regularly before your trip.


Definitely true of the Veronicas. They are pretty stiff, with a very hard sole. But the Annas linked above are super-soft and need zero break-in time.

No - but I'd get them from Zappos so you can try on 4 or 5 pairs of Frye boots and send the rejects back.
