One kid had minor injuries (broken ankle). You can see from the picture that there wasn't really that much snow on the road. Had to be frightening for parents to see that picture.

Maybe 1/2 inch in Gaithersburg, and that's being generous. Side streets were a little slippery before 8 when I left, but not as bad as the 2 hour delay day last week (which also wasn't that bad).
But we ABSOLUTELY closed and had delays in the 80's. From a kid's perspective, those days off were always warranted (except for one I remember that was for a storm that was forecast but didn't really hit).
