Just to be clear, I'm not in favor of, or excusing, hiring strippers for a party. It was a bad decision and the consequences for the boys involved ended up far outweighing the stupidity of their decision.
However, young people do stupid things. Being in peer pressured groups enables young people to go along with stupid things.
Hiring strippers for a club team party is a stupid thing, but it is the kind of stupid thing that tends to gain momentum in the planning, until no one could stop it even if they wanted to, because no one wants to be the lone dissenting voice.

Yeah, when your son is in college, and his team has a rowdy party, your son is going to be the one who stands up and says, "Fella, gosh darn it, this is just inappropriate behavior for young men of our socio-economic status."
Let me know how that works out for him.

These young men were falsely accused and were shown to be completely innocent.
The crime of these Landon boys and the others --- in the mind of the critics --- is they attended a rowdy college party.
I'm not a big Landon fan, but attempting to to tar Landon with this brush says more about the person doing it than it does Landon. ''

It was always a school where wealthy families could send their sons, who would otherwise not have a chance at any of the better top tier DC schools (i.e. STA and Sidwell.) I believe it's an easy school to get into, and I think many families are happy there.

And we haven't even talked about Huguely yet.
