I'm at the gym a few days a week, so 2xs a week on the legs (daily in the summer) and always daily for the pits.

pits: daily year round.

legs: used to shave every.single.day. Hate the stubble and don't like being prickly. And it added 5-10 minutes to my daily shower. But I switched to an epilator last summer. Right now I'm epilating once a week. Takes a good 20-30 minutes to do both legs (including thighs), but it is only once a week. Shorter morning routine has helped. Not sure yet if I will have to epilate more often in the summer.

As for dry skin, I actually found that shaving daily is a great exfoliant.

I don't shave my legs or pits all winter. And I'm very hirsute, very dark hair. I just don't really care and shaving takes too long because I am so furry.

I feel you.

I shave my legs about once a week on the winter, everyday in the summer. Pits are every other day. Then, there's the waxing. Damn my Italian genes!!

This is me (or if I have a doctor appt where I have to disrobe). Pits every 2nd or 3rd day in winter.

In summer, legs every other day, pits every day or every other day. Sometimes I'll skip a day on a weekend.

Sundays and Wednesdays. Same day DH shaves his face. I don't like his beard rubbing my face raw during sex, he doesn't like hairy legs.

It's absolutely normal. I do the same - legs once a week or so, pits every day or every other. We don't have enough hot water in the winter for me to shave my legs every time I shower. Husband is totally down. He's the one who encouraged me to shave my legs less in the winter because he doesn't care.
