OP, I'm sorry for your tough financial situation. Have you considered downsizing until you can increase your income or decrease your debts?

Around here it seems very common for adults (those with families, kids, etc) to vacation on their parents' dime. All of my friends do this -- go away on great vacations with their extended families with their parents paying for it. Not how it works for me, but I promise you I wouldn't be worrying one second about it if it ever came to pass!

We have a family reunion every year. My parents subsidize costs for some of my siblings who otherwise couldn't afford to come. I am so grateful my siblings don't mind accepting the help bc my kids LOVE seeing their cousins and we otherwise would not be able to. FWIW - we are tge "wealthiest" of all the siblings and I could care less about who pays what. I'm just glad we can all be together once a year.
