We scrounged for leftovers: chili and I grazed. I worked all day doing food prep for tomorrow's meal that I'm hosting and I'm beat and tired of food for the moment. I just want to put my feet up.

We ate ground beef, frozen peas and a sack of frozen brown rice.

I accidentally defrosted the ground beef and needed to clear out the fridge in preparation for the huge meal I am making for tomorrow. I spent the better part of the day preparing 10lbs of stuffed pork loin and blanching vegetables. So I fed the family with what was on hand. No shame.

Spiral ham, asparagus with mushrooms, mashed potatoes.

I ordered chinese food delivery. So NOT a foodie. I do like the idea of fondue at home though.

I dont know. Maybe leftovers, maybe a box of Mac and cheese.

Leg of lamb and Brussels sprouts. Waiting for the lamb to finish now--looks amazing!

We put the Christmas cookies for Santa, plus extras for us, in the oven right before dinner so they were ready for dessert. Dinner was a grass-fed rib-eye steak.

We often do the Christmas Eve picnic thing--or we do it for NYE after DC goes to bed. Pate, cheese, shrimp, champagne. Yum!

We do fondue every Christmas eve. Family tradition since I was little.

Smoked brisket, potato salad, baked beans, garlic bread, lemon meringue pie.

When I was growing up our family used to have a Christmas Eve picnic by the tree -- that's one of my favorite childhood memories. My own kids are older now -- teens and early 20s -- so we'll go out to dinner with friends before mass. Like many others who've posted, we'll have Mexican food -- and Margaritas for everyone over 21.

Sea bass, scalloped potatoes and green beans for us; homemade pizza for the kids. Rainbow cake for everyone for dessert!

Grill roasted prime rib, popovers, shredded brussel sprouts with bacon and a buche de boel for dessert. This is the first year it is just us and so far its been great.

Ina Garten's scallops provencal, herbed bastmati rice, roasted asparagus, maybe some sauteed spinach, and some type of Christmasy dessert from Wegmans.
