Subject: Does anyone work 40 hrs/week anymore?
I work 37.5 with occasional extra 30 minutes or so, along with travel and weekend meetings a few times a year. Make $130k at large nonprofit.

My husband is in tech and works about 50-60 hours a week (maybe 5 of which is at home after hours). He makes 125k.

We don't live in the DC area anymore so 120K does go further, although we are still on the East Coast, so not THAT much further.
My parents made a decision early in my dad's career that it wasn't worth it to them to have him make more money if it meant that we didn't get to see him every day. They never once regretted it, and I'm really close to my dad and they still have an awesome marriage.

Me too. I'm a govt. lawyer and value work/life balance over money.
Same here. I make less money, but I get home by 5:30 and have dinner with my kids every night and have the whole weekend with my family. Worth it to me.

35 h/week, make $105k. DH works 40 h/week, and makes closer to $200k (with bonus). I feel very fortunate. We are also in our early 40s, if that matters.

40 hours/week, very occasionally will work an extra couple hours, 25k/year. I would gladly work more and make more money.

My DH is in tech, makes $125/year + bonus and works 40 hours a week. When he is coming up on a big deadline (maybe 2-3x a year), he will work 50-80 hours a week, but he gets vacation days comped.

Me, I make around $93,000 AND live outdide the DC area. I still read here because I lived in NoVa for 15 years.
