Maybe that sounds weird but teachers are giving people and tend to not do nice things for themselves. A REALLY good mocha in the cold weather can change someone's day![]()
This year my kids are giving holiday boxes of handmade peppermint bark, with a card of their top 10 moments with that teacher and a $10 Starbucks gift card. My daughter is in middle school and she has about 12 teachers (including specials and coaches) but it is worth it to us.
One of the most thankless jobs out there. And lately dangerous! We appreciate you all![]()

It's our first year in preschool so I'm not sure what other people usually do. At the beginning of the year I gave $ for the class gift. I am going to have DC make a card, but should I add a present as well?
I'm wondering this as well. Can someone weigh in? In our case, there was a fee assessed of all families and that money is allocated to buy holiday and year-end gifts for the teachers. Is it the norm to give on top of this at the holidays, or just a nice card?
Just a card is fine.
