Speaking of parent interviews, can anyone report on what happened during theirs, and what kids of questions were asked, what you discussed, etc? First school interview parent here, and very anxious!

Before you all panic over this, don't you think these schools consider the fact that children may actually mature in the 9 months or so, between now and next September? A four year old who falls apart now may be a very confident little person by next September.

I have nothing to do with admissions. But, as an SSSAS parent and based on our experiences, I would expect the admissions staff to be looking out for children that are ready for school (so, would think hesitation nothing to worry about, but a major emotional breakdown that required your return, more of a problem and probably a sign that your child is truly not ready for anywhere just yet) - same for ability to follow instructions, being generally receptive to new people, places, and experiences - and are basically kind.

Depends on who you ask re: whether it makes or breaks. My theory is that it can be a tie-breaker. Did your DD end up separating from you with tears? Or just hesitation? Did she come back happy? That is probably an indication of how it went.
What is the "terrific" WPPSI score? How do you know the recommendation (should only be one) is good?

Also wondering if anyone got feedback, whether any children were not as happy as PPs, and whether the school visit can make or break an application? DC has terrific WPPSI scores and recommendations but was hesitant at the school visit. I think she was just overwhelmed.

We did not get any feedback. I got the sense that if your child was having a really tough time they would talk to you to see if s/he was sick, tired, etc...
