I went back after 3 days and my stylist consulted with the owner about how to fix it. Results were great. That was maybe 18 months ago, and, yes, I've gone back, with continued excellent results. Sometimes you just have to get on the same page.

I am embracing the gray, and my hair is MUCH healthier as a result of this choice.
too bad women are so damn insecure
Wonderful for you. There are about 20 threads on gray hair out there now, so you can revel in each other's grayness.
And to the home hair color person, we can tell, and yes, get back to us when you do some highlights. Do you use the little fork that comes in your kit?

Never again...now I actually get them done in Europe whenever possible.
Thanks for the laugh! Already I was chortling over the $270.00 cut and highlights, but now someone goes to Europe to color their hair. Here's some advice: You can actually have your hair cut for less than $25.00 ( YEP- you really can, and it will be a fine hair cut) and you can use Nice and Easy for about $7.00.Even less with a coupon. AND IT WILL LOOK GREAT!!!! it's the same crap they use in your salon and it will wash out and/or oxidize at the same rate as your salon color. Your hair will grow out at the same rate and your roots will show the same way. Save your money!
Highlights are a lot different than all over color. You can't replicate highlights at home and it's a skill to do them well.
Also you get what you pay for with a $25 haircut and a $7 dye job. It's fine if you don't care and it's great if you're happy with the results. But don't kid yourself there's no difference.
