I am not looking down my noise at you. Different people have different tastes. Of course there will be many people who like to coat everything in butter, just as there are people who like to deep-fry everything and cover it in a sugar glaze. That is why there are so many McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts, and so few rarified saladeries. Who is to say which is better?

"I am not looking down my nose at you who like McDonald's."

I hope I will be able to use the term "rarefied saladeries" soon. And often.

Nope. As Christopher Hitchens once said, "The four most overrated things in life are champagne, lobster, anal sex and picnics."

I disagree with him about the lobster.

The only thing on this list that I don't like is lobster. The combination of champagne and a picnic followed by anal sort of sounds like the perfect day to me...

Sounds like an awesome brunch to me, and even better that I don't have to worry that Christopher Hitchens would be there (even if he weren't dead).

Are you the poster who quoted his caustic article on Mother Teresa? You really need to get some fun into your life. I'd start with the champagne and lobster. (Skip the anal sex.)

oh puh-lease, looking down your nose at the rest of us "hoi polloi"? Lame.

What's funny is that hoi polloi of SE Asia eat lobster that way. Oh, the humanity.

Anonymous wrote:Lobster must be fresh. I would not go to a chain like Legal Seafood but a restaurant that has it flown in fresh daily. I like the tail. If overcooked it is not good. Must be fresh and cooked properly.

Ummmm, at Legal Seafoos the lobster is alive 15min before it hits your plate. You can order it steamed, grilled, or stuffed. How much more fresh can a live lobster be?

Lobster was $4.99 a pound steamed for you at Market Basket in New England a few weeks ago. I ate a lot of them.

I'll have a big, freshly caught Maine lobster claw, dipped in melted buttah.
