All of that aside, I enjoyed her music and voice and knew that this thread would go off the rails because everyone on here has of course made all the RIGHT choices in their lives and have overcome so much and are oh so perfect. But can't find any lesson, sympathy or compassion in the horrible situations others may find themselves in - especially for someone who gave so much enjoyment to others.
I could be a addict. I don't know. I've never taken drugs to find out whether I'd ever become addicted. Easy!!
You are addicted to being a judgmental asshole. There is no cure.

Listening to "I wanna dance with somebody" right now w
OP-- I hear you. I cried when the news came out and I don't consider myself a huge fan.
Whistle notes ..not many can do it:

don't forget celine dion, who in my opinion is the most talented out of this group.

I think that's a bit of an overstatement
+1 i live Celine now. But when she first came out it took me a while to warm up to her after that remake of Patti Labelle's If You Asked Me To. I was pretty young but the two version were made maybe two years apart. Felt like it was too soon. But now, yeah Celine is great but not like Whitney or Mariah.
