My house is 2500 sq. ft. on a 1/3 of an acre, and it's a small lot for my house. So, it's a small lot for that amount of money and size house YOU BET.

I get that this house is in the 20814 zip, but the reality is you are always going to have people like half the posts in this thread they do not deem this area worthy of the "Bethesda" label. For $1.4M you can get a gorgeous house in a non-busy road closer in.

Agreed. I would try looking in Bethesda.

I would be very very very concerned about water issues in that house. Note the driveway slants down into the garage. A house on a hill is always preferable to one in a valley -fmr real estate agent.

oh shut up all of you above PPs!

It is Bethesda....I drive down that road a few times a week. It can be busy but there are speed cameras so cars go slow. Its a pretty house, but I think too much house for that neighborhood. This might be the nicest house on that road, which goes against real estate 101. You have to wait for all the other houses to improve their curb appeal before this house will be worth the asking price. This house is about $250K too much - 6 beds or not. pretty though!

It's not like it's in the heart of Rockville. Much closer to Bethesda actually. And WJ cluster, which is excellent.

It is closer to Germantown than Bethesda.

Uh no, not by a long shot. Germantown is like 25 minutes away, while Bethesda center is like 10 minutes away.

It is in Gaithersburg.

It IS a busy street. It's a commuter street and a major cut through. Your kids will not be able to play in the front yard, and you will have to be very careful pulling in and out if your driveway. It's a lot of money to pay for a house on a busy street IMHO. And who needs six bedrooms?
