It's "demeaning" to commute on a crowded metro? That's hilarious. I can definitely acknowledge that there are advantages to living way out in the far burbs, but a better commute is not one of them. Some people will make up the randomest shit....
It's terrible Metro is so crowded and I always feel bad for the people who get on in Arlington having to plead with others to make room on the cars and then ending up pressed against random strangers whose levels of hygiene vary and staring at the people who boarded earlier and have seats. It just reinforces how crappy it is to live in Arlington
Funny. I got a seat both ways, today.

And, although we aren't there yet, I have a reverse commute into the suburbs.
Why are you ony talking about what the moms do?
Because I don't have nearly as good of an idea regarding what the dads do. To my knowledge, none stay at home though.
Well sure, but this was a question about commuting, and you answered talking about what the mommies do. Which was kind of weird.

Yes, it's just horrible!![]()
The rubbing up against strangers on the Orange Line is probably the most exciting thing that happens all day to a lot of people in Arlington. It's the epitome of dull.
Yes, it is godawful. Everything about Arlington is absolutely horrible. The schools, the commute, the crime, the ugly cats. You should stay far, far away.
OMG. The ugly cats were just awful this year. We might start spraying for them in the spring. Has anyone tried Ugly Cat Squad?
Ugly Cat Squad? Are you mad? With all the chemicals they use?! Much better off trying my grandmother's advise -- a little bit of vinegar and water, sprayed one every other day.
