I think my daughter has developed an internal clock - when spring comes, she starts asking when she will go to stay with her grandparents. Whoever said kids should be chained to their parents 365 days per year? I spent a lot of vacations and weekends with my grandparents growing up, and those are some of my best memories. Actually, my kids are 5 and 8 and will be staying with well loved grandparents. Old enough for you?
Keep the ideas coming -- I'm excited!
I think travelling should be done as a family.
Then go travel with your family. Millions, literally MILLIONS of people disagree with you though, and their kids turn out to be perfectly happy and well-adjusted people. I happen to disagree with you. It's not like OP is going to chain her kids to the sink with a hunk of cheese around their necks. They'll get a vacation with their beloved grandparents.
yes , those with poor coping skills leave their kids.
I took my THREE MONTH old twins on vacation to Cayman.
NP here, the fact that you can't leave your children speaks more about you then it does about others! Not as healthy as you think lady, and maybe try having sex with your husband- he has been complaining a lot in the relationship forum and needs some of your attention.
