Subject: Why does everyone wait to put up Halloween decorations until Oct 1?
Because pumpkins rot. Also, I think October 1 is too early.

Well I can't disagree with that. I know I limit the amount of candy my kids are allowed to eat each day. We keep the Halloween stash around for a long time....
But Thanksgiving is a holiday centered around stuffing our fat faces. And Christmas is not exactly a dieter's holiday. So it seems to me that the three holidays have a lot in common.
