I am gay and have an adopted child. We will no longer be buying Barilla pasta.

We dont go to chick fil a either, Its not about how we will be treated in the restuarant, its about what they choose to spend their profits on. In chick fil a's case one of the companies they donate to is "focus on the family" They are an anti-gay family group and actively oppose legislation to benefit our civil rights.

This thread makes me truly see how rigid folks are. So what if want to boycott something? Why get bunched up panties? Im totally fine with y'all deciding to keep buying. That's totally fine. Why can't you be fine with us? Because you think we're dumb and you must let us know? That says more about you, really. Let folks be. It's easier than you think.

When CEOs are dumb enough to let fly with their bigoted opinions and become the 5% of businesses where I do know their views, I will change, and have changed, my consumption patterns.

See, those are all "opinions." They also happen to be filled with hate for specific groups of people. You are "allowed" to have these opinions, but if you have these opinions I will call you out on your hatred.

We eat tons of Barilla Plus for the extra protein, but I don't want to buy it any more. Does anyone know of a good alternative?

All dried pasta seems the seem to me, except for the $4/pound imported stuff.
