Fashion police doesn't have ANY woman who is in a position to talk about people's weight, beauty or healthy relationship with their bodies. JR and her anorexia, KO and her weight struggles, JR and her plastic surgery of the week... And they are all bashing other women for their flaws. American tv at its finest.

Melissa McCarthy has been plump for a long time, even pre-kids. Often heavy actors will lose jobs if they try to lose weight.

I'm glad Lena Dunham is comfortable with her body. I don't really care for the show or think she is that talented, however, she looks real and like a typically woman. (Yes, the dress looked like curtains.)

There is no body type or dress that would ever be more unattractive than the ugliness of the comments on this thread. Sorry for stating the obvious but apparently it isn't obvious enough for some of the nasty souls (who probably aren't on TV) trashing this woman.

I like Lena but I must admit that when I saw the dress, the first thing I thought was why in God's name would someone with that body type wear a boxy dress like that? talk about pilling on.

I forget who but guiliana nominated someone for worst dressed because she thought the nude dress was the color of poo. This had me wondering what guiliana is or is not eating that her reference shade for poop is soft beige.

And she's not a size 8...at least she wasn't at the Emmys. I'm a 10-12 (depending on brand), and I'm smaller than she is.

It's not the size per se. One can be a fit and toned size 8 or a flabby one.

It's the clothes she chooses to wear. Had she worn a better fitting, more flattering dress that covered her shoulders and/or upper arms then no one would be criticizing her. Bad dress choice = bashing.
